I got a call from a recent customer of mine earlier today who wanted to know what to do about those pesky little bugs that are all teeth. For crusiers traveling into the southeast, those are the tiny bugs the size of black pepper that will drive you mad. We call them No-See-Ums or Culicoides spp. (Insecta: Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) in coastal Florida and South Georgia.
They get in your hair, bite your legs and will do their best to ruin a good gathering of boaters on the docks.
